TIM BURGIO IN THE NEWSLEADER

Up to this point, we haven't really done this, but I figured, "Oh well, why not?!" Tim Burgio was recently featured in the Springfield News-Leader (the newspaper for those of you who haven't heard of it) and I thought it would be cool for all you peeps to check it out. He has a Q & A about his tennis skills, so it will be a good read. Big Thanks To Everyone Who Helped Out

To all of those who helped out this past Saturday on Commercial Street or with Neat Repeats, I want to give you a big THANK YOU. We were able to do a great think and it really impacted our community. From shops that need to be renovated, to the owner of Peabody's visiting with us and wanting to offer us some free appetizers, it was a great time. I'll keep you posted when we get some more details about different events, but you all did a great, great thing. Pat yourselves on the back. PJ

A Night of Desperation

On April 9th, we are going to be hosting David Perkins and Jared Anderson of Desperation. They will be here to conduct our normal forty5 service, so it should be a fantastic time. We won't be having any activities in the youth room that night, as we are going to use that as a place to let them store stuff (since there are 60 people who are in this trip). Be sure to invite your friends and let's make this a great turnout and a really awesome night with Jesus. PJ

Service Project This Saturday

We are going to have our first venture in Service Projects within the community this Saturday, April 5th. If you are interested, send me an email at jchandler@hopechurch.net and we'll put you on our mailing list. A couple of girls will go with Jaime to a local outreach center, and the rest of us will go to a home and help out. It should be a great time. We'll then go to Cici's for some buffet style pizza and then call it a day at 2:30. We'll meet at the house/outreach center at 10 (directions coming on Wednesday), so you'll want to be there. This is the culmination of a lot of things we have talked about over the last couple of months, so if you felt a nudge to get involved and repair the image of Christianity, then this is the perfect time to get in. The Biggest Not Big Bonfire Ever

Well...the bonfire was big. Not that tall, but it was still a lot of fire. That's what happens when it rains the night before. Oh well. Win some, lose some. But once the thing got going (after we had burned off all the really big fire stuff), it was a pretty good fire. Here's to football (and two interception for TD's) and some good snacks and drinks. The New Look

Big ups (congratulations) to Josh Burgbacher and the work he put in to give a new look to the site. It is pretty shnazy, so let him know you like it and show him the love. Also, we are looking for some new content to post on here and things we can do to draw you all to the site. Let us know what you want to see and how we can improve it. See ya tonight. PJ

Largest Bonfire Ever

This Sunday, March 2nd, it's going down. Pastor Gary has promised the largest bonfire in the history of theBURN or bonfires in his backyard. It should be a doozy. Fire starts at 6. You can get directions to Pastor Gary's house by clicking here. See ya there. PJ

Help Needed

For those of you who are available, we are in need of servers and help in the kitchen for a dinner that we are having on Saturday, February 23rd at 6pm. All help will need to be here at 5 to help get things set-up and ready to go. If you are available we could definitely use you. All of our normal help is needing to attend the dinner and so the youth have been asked to fill the call. Let me know if you are available to help. Much love! PJ
